If you have locs it’s highly probable that you’ve been in at least one group on social media that discusses issues pertaining to locs. Either you yourself have given out some advice that has helped an individual on their loc journey or you have been helped by someone.

Well, if you have great advice that came from years of personal experience then you have something valuable. Why should all of that information be given a way for free? Especially when there is an extreme demand for dreadlock/natural hair information.

You could put all of your tips and advice on platform that could create passive income for you. How could you earn passive income? Selling Your Own Digital Products (Courses, Services), Utilizing WordPress WordAds, Amazon Affiliate Marketing, Other Affiliate Programs, and Google AdsenseAlthough there are many options when it comes to choosing a web hosting company, I HIGHLY recommend using WordPress. I used WordPress to build this site. I’ve tried using other web hosting companies but I ended up being dissapponted. I have been thoroughly satisfied with WordPress and I will never use another platform as long WordPress maintains it’s high level of performance.

Who doesn’t love a dope picture of someone with a healthy set of locs? There are many companies out their that offer you royalties for stock photos you submit. Say for example you did a photoshoot in your back yard, you upload those photos to Adobe Stock Contributors, if other people purchase your photos for their blogs, site, or products then you get a commission each time that happens.

One sale is certainly not going to make it rain, but over a period of time with enough photos uploaded you could create a stream of passive income from pictures of you on your loc journey.

If you don’t already have a YouTube channel and you have aspirations to make money from your loc journey then I suggest you start today. YouTube now requires that you have 4,000 hours of watch time or 1,000 subscribers within a 12 month period before applying for the YouTube Partner Program.

This may sound difficult, but it’s not as hard as you may think. If you stick to a schedule, produce quality content with useful information, and market yourself by the time you make your first 100 videos you could be ready to start making money from advertisements on your YouTube Channel. Once your channel is approved for monetization then you will have successfully opened up a stream of income for yourself. The best part is, you only have to make the videos once. Your content will work for you long after upload it.

Sponsors

If you are someone with a unique personality, influential within a particular community, and are excited about your loc journey then their a many opportunities available for sponsorship. For example, you could get paid to wear clothing from a company looking to market to the dreadlock community. Also, you could give product reviews or recommend products. You could set a flat rate price for this service or do it on a commission basis. Either  way you get paid to promote other people’s products.
