Don’t be fooled, Trump has no interest in helping a black rapper in a Swedish jail. It’s a publicity stunt, he’s still racist.
As we all know by now, A$AP Rocky has been held in “inhumane” conditions for about 2 weeks in a Swedish jail after a public altercation. A$AP Rocky claims this brawl was in self defense and that there is a video recording proving it.
This has become front page news with celebrities like Kanye West and Kim Kardashian speaking out publicly, demanding he be released. Apparently, Trump and his administration in it’s desperation to prove it is not a racist white supremacist organization has decided to “personally vouch” for A$AP Rocky to Swedish officials.
This is a pathetic public relations move that should not misconstrued as a genuine humanitarian effort.
Trump is only trying to take off some of the heat put on him since his recent North Carolina rally where he incited a large group of caucasian supporters to chant “send her back”, referring to U.S Representative Ilhan Omar who happens to be a black muslim woman.
Not only that but his recent tweets that suggested the four congresswomen of color – Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts – ‘go back to where they came from‘ has stirred up more negative controversy then the usually problematic president is accustomed too.
So someone must’ve told him to ‘help that black rapper in Sweden’ to combat accusations of him and his administration of being radical racist white supremacists.
