In a Dj Vlad interview, Brother Polight explains how religions have negatively impacted the global black community.
Polight talks about whenever we go back in history, all of the religions that we subscribe to were introduced to us while we were in “servitude”. The people who were oppressing us gave the religions many black people consider holy or sacred.
Polight talks about how a lack of language comprehension has lead to misunderstandings about the Bible and Koran. Basically saying, if we trace back the languages used in religions texts we’d often find a completely different interpretation then what was presented to us by who we consider ‘religious leaders’.
By following these religions we are essentially making ourselves vulnerable to manipulation by people who don’t have the black community’s best interests at heart.
