Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, an Indian yogi, mystic and author uses an analogy between the human body and a society to explain what cancer is and how it could be prevented. Within his explanation he mentions that the cancerous cells consume 27 to 28 times the amount of food as normal cells. So by fasting or eating one to two times a day we can essentially starve the cancer cells and they will die off. The point is to space out the meals. Also he says by maintaining a peaceful state of mind the body’s defense mechanism is able to effectively defend against cancer cells so have less potential to grow and develop.
