If you don’t understand what it’s like to be bullied by institutional racism then you’ll never understand why Amari Allen changed her story.
Don’t be fooled by the multi-cultural pictures the Immanuel Christian School displays with pride. We are dealing with a racist, white supremacist organization that only seeks to appear diversified. Meanwhile their entire school board and executive team is white, not to mention the Vice President’s wife works at the school too. Could we be dealing with a cover up? Did someone intimidate Amari Allen and her family to change their story?
According to an initial report published September 30th by CBS News:
“A black middle school student from Virginia is accusing three white boys of pinning her down and cutting off her dreadlocks. The incident took place at Immanuel Christian School — where Vice President Mike Pence’s wife, Karen Pence, is a teacher.
Amari Allen, a 12-year-old student at the private K-12 Christian school, said the boys called her dreadlocks “ugly” and “nappy” before cutting them off on the playground during recess.”
CBS News releases a new update saying Amari Allen admits she lied about the whole thing, “A 12-year-old black girl from Virginia has recanted an accusation that her white sixth grade classmates pinned her down and cut off her dreadlocks, her family said in a statement Monday. Stephen Danish, the head of Immanuel Christian School, also confirmed the allegations were false.”
I know it may be easy for some people to immediately close this case and call Amari Allen a liar and an attention seeker because deep down they believe there can’t possibly be any innocence in a little black girl.
Personally, when I heard that her story changed it immediately threw up some red flags.
Why? Because I am a black man in America that has experienced institutional racism on an overt level, as well as subtle level. I know how intimidating it could feel being a confrontational with white supremacist organizations when you are alone.
More than likely, once Amari Allen went public with her story someone approached her and/or her family with an ultimatum that would strongly insist on changing that story.
After all, she is going to school where the wife of the Vice President of the United States of America works at. They literally have the direct support of the American government.
Do you really think a white christian organization backed by a white supremacist racist government would let a story like this escape and tarnish whatever humane perception is left of them? I think not, especially if you have the power to influence the public opinion dramatically with the snap of a finger.
Is there specific evidence proving that Amari Allen was intimidated to change her story? Not yet. However, this has all the signs of the classic white supremacist cover up.
When a Black American makes a major claim against White America one of 3 things happen: either the person making the claim mysteriously ends up dead, intentionally has their credibility and humanity destroyed by news media outlets, or mysteriously redirects their focus away from a particular white supremacist or an entire white supremacist organization.
Seeing how we still live in a country that wants to ‘Make America Great Again’ (aka bring back a time when the system of white supremacy was closest to the collective subjugation of melanated peoples), it seems more feasible they intimidated that girl into changing her story to protect the public appearance of an all white ran christian organization rather then her making the whole thing up.
