It has been well known throughout all the civilizations of the world that fasting, going extended periods without eating, can have dramatic positive effects on the human body including healing, higher cognitive functions, and more.
It is “normal” to grow up, specifically in America, and believe that it is a natural part of life to eat 3 full meals a day – breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Not only that, but there must be snacks in between to curve the appetite and satisfy the taste buds.
Is it this type of mentality that has led America to being one of the fattest, most unhealthiest nations on the planet?
As a Black American, existing within a racist European-centered framework that aims to be supreme over all that is melanated, is it possible that we were seduced into low-vibratory and self destructive eating habits as a means of chemical warfare? Are we intentionally encouraged to be fat, slow, and unhealthy?
How can we defend ourselves if we are obese? How can we save money if we are spending it 3 times a day with their stores and restaurants, eating food that it counter-productive to our nature? How can we plan and strategize if our minds are foggy and unfocused from lack of nutrition? When will the revolution begin if everyone is in the hospital with diet related illnesses?

It is a well documented fact that extended periods (1 day to a few weeks) without eating (just drinking fluids like water, tea, etc.) have shown remarkable results in people’s health.
Obviously you could lose weight. One man went 382 days without eating, losing over 270 pounds. That’s more than a year without eating, and he had no negative health effects. “In 1965, an obese man actually survived without eating for over a year, living entirely off his body fat and supplemental vitamins.” He went from morbidly obese to a fully functional and healthy adult male by not eating, at all.
Brain function increases dramatically during a fast. Nuerosurgeon and Author, Dr. Janidal, explains in his book Neurofitness:
“Consider our prehistoric ancestors, the hunters and gatherers who survived through feast and famine, abundance and scarcity. The real “Paleo diet” didn’t consist of just large hunks of meat. Many were the days and weeks they failed to catch an auroch or boar and went to sleep hungry.
The body heals itself naturally. Every time you get a cut on your leg or a common cold your body tries to resolve the problem itself. The problem is most of have are using the bulk of our precious energy in our digestive tracts trying dissolve unnatural foods, as opposed to using that energy heal and fuel ourselves.
The U.S National Library of Medicine reports, “Several small studies have shown that that fasting may hold promise in treating established cancers in humans, including primary brain tumors as well as cancers that may metastasize to the brain.”
Of course eating nutritional foods is absolute necessary to maintaining good health. Many people are finally discovering the power of a plant based diet. However there are situations when NOT eating ANYTHING for extended periods of time, especially if you are overweight with medical illnesses, could be the most empowering thing you could do for yourself. You could lose weight, cure illnesses, increase cognitive abilities, increase energy levels, increase focus, and reset your body to a healthy and manageable status.
