The current global crisis has left over 30 million Americans out of work, millions of families have little to no savings left and are forced to choose between paying rent and surviving. A “rent strike” is sweeping the nation.
It would seem obvious that most people would choose survival over forking over the last of their cash to the landlord.
I mean, the only alternative is to starve to death in your house or apartment.
So what do you do?
Protesters Nationwide Take Part In Rent Strike
This is the energy behind the massive “rent strikes” sweeping the nation.
Millions of people are protesting in the street, out of work, out of cash, with no way to fulfill their previous rental obligations due to the coronavirus shut downs.
With no “light at the end of the tunnel” yet, most people are choosing to hold on to what money they have left to feed themselves and their families, leaving property owners and landlords in a crisis as well.
Leave a comment, what do you think? Should people still have to pay to rent as promised, on time? Or should people be “bailed out”, renters and property owners alike?
