The Leap of Dance Academy, founded by Daniel Ajala in 2017, is “teaching classical dance to children in a poor district of Lagos, Nigeria”, according to a report from BBC News.
Mr. Ajala took the initiative to teach himself ballet through books and online videos, then he opened the school and pays for the schools expenses out of his own money.
The BBC report goes on to say, “Mr Ajala funds the school from his own pocket, and learned about ballet through online videos and books. Leap of Dance Academy has 12 pupils, aged from 6 to 15, and provides ballet shoes, outfits and lessons for free.”
